Japan plum liqueur award2017 Jozo Alcohol Division Silver"
Plumity Black Plum liqueur" is an authentic Plum liqueur made by an ume (Japanese apricot) farm that puts so much care into growing the ume fruit. Trees are managed thoroughly, and the fruit color, which is an indication of good scent and flavor, as well as the firmness are checked. These are done to harvest large pieces of the perfectly ripe ume of highest quality, "Nankoume", by hand. To bring out the best qualities of the ingredient fruit as much as possible, white liquor without any distracting flavor was selected for alcohol, and crystal sugar with no distinctive flavor was selected for sugar. In addition, we studied the alcohol and sugar ratio and how long they are rested in the solution as this affects the umeshu flavor and how much ume constituent gets extracted. We have developed the ultimate method for resting ume in the solution. The moment you pour it in a glass, the mellow ume scent fills the air and with one sip, it is almost as if you are tasting the ume fruit itself. In the competitive exhibition specializing in umeshu called Japan plum liqueur award2017, the Plum liqueur was deemed to have such quality and authenticity that it received the silver prize in the distilled alcohol umeshu category.
