"Comica Calvados cask" is made by letting Japanese sake mature in barrels of calvados (apple brandy) for six months. Old barrels of calvados are brought over on ships from near Mont Saint Michel, a World Heritage Site in France, then filled with Japanese Honjozo for half a year. Featuring the flavor of apples from the calvados barrels and a refreshing taste that brings coniferous trees to mind, this is a sake that is especially desirable in the summer. Recommended served ice cold in wine glasses or on the rocks. "Is this really sake!?" A fun, surprising, all new sake experience.
